Our Chinese air lanterns come in six colours: white, red, pink, blue, green and red heart. Mix them to match your party theme.

Before you release

Sky lanterns are legal to buy in the UK, but more than 200 councils – including every council in Wales – ban releases on their land. Always check with the landowner and your local council, choose a still, dry evening and a wide open space. Read our guide: are sky lanterns legal in the UK?

Do these lanterns contain metal?

No. Rice paper and bamboo only, with no metal wire.

How many lanterns do I need?

Plan one lantern for every two to four guests and release them in small groups.
